OVERVIEW
Simply put, Koir is not a likeable teacher. He is not even a likeable human being. Self-centred, arrogant, condescending, short-tempered and a bit of a know-it-all, Koir is not someone a student would run to if they needed advice or guidance. The only thing I can imagine a student actually approaching him for is to make use of his knowledge on a wide variety of topics. He isn't nice, but he is smart, and not a terrible teacher.
That all said, he is a sociable sort, though he is out for his own amusement, not the benefit of others. He'll shove his advice and philosophies onto others, just to see how they'll react. In all honesty, he probably wouldn't care if he were to be the only one who walked away from all of this unharmed. He certainly won't be sacrificing himself for another anytime soon.

FRIENDS
A fellow student of history may find something of a kindred soul in Koir, but, despite his friendly overtures, Koir is not a man with many friends. He makes no apologies for his nature. At least his class is usually not that strict, so he has that going for him, at least. But, if, for some bizarre reason, or a healthy dose of Stockholm Syndrome, one would be able to make a friend of Koir, though he wouldn't act any differently towards such a person, except maybe conversing with them more often.
The long and the short of it is that he is a horrible ally and confidant, who would be more interested in seeing how his student's minds are collapsing, as opposed to actually looking out for their mental well-being. This is not to say he won't do his fair share of work to get food, water, and possibly escape or rescue, but his motivation is hardly for the benefit of the greater good.

ENEMIES
Koir will probably find many students in this category; initially for petty things, as he is rather intolerant of ignorance, and people who give routinely incorrect answers. His temper is short, so I would imagine he would have made a few enemies that way, as well. His irritatingly calm and scholarly approach to the life-or-death ordeal they have found themselves in will likely win him no more friends.
He is the kind of guy who would hamstring a person near him, both to outrun them, and to distract whatever it is that is hunting them. Plenty of possibility for hating him for what he has done, down the line.

LOVERS
Firstly; I highly doubt anyone would be interested in Koir romantically. Secondly; Koir's not interested. That's that. Nothing else to add. If someone wants to do a one-sided crush, though, I'm game.

Feel free to throw any ideas or suggestions my way, I'm open to any and all comers, but just keep in mind Koir's oddities.
