Thirty seven. gender. Male. sexuality. Asexual. how they got here. Despite his relatively short life, Koir has had a rather full life. Born in the United Arab Emirates, Koir was an exceedingly odd person, even as a child, but undoubtedly intelligent. He had a fascination with information, finding a better friend in a non-fiction tome than he did in class, with his parents, or even his siblings. He was obsessive, in his quest for knowledge, particularly in the topic of history. Of course, his oddities made him a target for bullies and the general populace, but violence was soon a skill not unknown to Koir. Always having the ready excuse of self-defence, however, his record remained unblemished, even if his reputation took a nose-dive. Not that Koir really cared. Graduating early out of university with a scholarship for funding, Koir left the country as soon as possible, armed with a diploma in history, and an acceptance letter to a university in Georgia. For a long time, Koir was a professional student, earning a comfortable enough living by merit of his scholarships, and actually getting a few of his works published. He eventually tired of being the student, however, and acquired, of all things, his teaching certification. But instead of educating in the context of a lecture theatre at some prestigious university, Koir opted for a more direct route. Society, as a whole, was ignorant of the past, and only those hungry for knowledge pursued it in tertiary education. So, to salve ignorance at a more basic level, he managed to get a job at Esterwood Academy, as a history teacher. He's still a relatively new teacher, but has earned himself some notoriety already. Popular and personable, he is not. Despite some of his initial resistance, he agreed to accompany the students on their trip to the amusement park. It was, after all something he had never experienced before. |
