THE PLOT
There is a place that no paved road ever turns toward. The only way is a long dirt road leading to a town that stands alone and isolated – even within. Centuries ago it flourished with life. Now it is left in the shambles of a disaster and left for the wilderness to take over. Just before entering the town there rests a sign that creaks and blows in the wind – its name roughly scratched out, splattered with blood, and covered with the crudely carved word ‘Tartarus.'
It is a warning.
Esterwood Academy, located in the state of Georgia, made the decision to surprise its students with an end of year trip... to Disney World! A tad expensive, however, they were to meant to stay one week. Loading up three large buses, they started a drive toward Florida. The journey had been going well until they took a short cut down a dirt road. Low on gas, one bus had to pull into the only town they found and all of the others followed. The town was empty. The night was late, so the students were lead by the teachers into a stable building for some ‘true camping’ while leaving two of the drivers outside to figure out the gas as well as where they were on the map.
The following morning started with the sight of dead bus drivers; the buses were mauled, some turned on their sides, and both drivers dead inside. At least, what was left of them. This was the first step on their stairway to Hell.
A month has passed since. Two brave students set out for help but they never returned. Their food supply is running low and communications are shot. Their only choice it search this town for what is left. The stranded students and their teachers are left alone to try and fend for themselves; but only under the sun. They all fear what lurks in the dark.
Something is wrong in this town. Everyone loves to hide in their memories. But here, memories are not limited to being in the mind. They play out right before your eyes. A ghostly force takes the appearance of your deepest thoughts and acts them out for everyone to see. Stuck in this hell, fearing what lurks in the night, and with their memories suddenly appearing into existence, these children must survive with only each other. But they must learn that there may be other survivors who have seen more than they can handle.
